Scheduling Multiplier is a factor applied to the base irrigation schedule to account for evapotranspiration losses and other unmodeled water removals. It scales how much water you actually apply so the soil profile is replenished enough to meet crop needs between irrigation events. In practice, you start with a base requirement derived from ETc and soil water balance, then multiply by this factor to adjust for conditions like hot, windy, or dry spells, soil texture and drainage that can increase losses, or to respond to monitoring data. When ET losses are typical, the multiplier is around 1; during periods of higher demand or greater losses, the multiplier increases to deliver more water. The other options describe different concepts—daily water budget, sprinkler spacing, and irrigation interval—none of which are the multiplier’s role.
